News
This page shows you all about the chronology of updates on my site.
- 2008/08/14 Saddened to tell you all that the GTG 2008 has been cancelled. This is unfortunate and appears to become a new standard of sorts. Let’s hope not!
- 2007/03/19 Saddened to tell you all that the GTG 2007 has been cancelled. This is unfortunate and doesn’t happen often (it happened before, in 2001, and 2006).
- 2006/03/19 Saddened to tell you all that the GTG 2006 has been cancelled. This is unfortunate and doesn’t happen often (it happened before, in 2001).
- 2005/08/25 The GTG 2005 has passed. Again I wasn’t in it. The little family that once sprung from the GTG now lives completely without it :-( Still, I will keep you posted: The date for the GTG 2006 is set for the 3rd through 6th August, 2006!
- 2005/03/14 It is the season again, where the official website starts spreading news, dates and the like. There is no 2005 page yet on this site. I am seriously lagging behind in working on this site or the GTG itself.
- 2004/03/09 News start spreading from the officials about this year’s event. See y’all!
- 2003/10/13 The GTG has its own address! Well, almost: it is at gtg.arbs.de. Nothing else changes, please update your links.
- 2003/08/26 Pix in the 2003 section!
- 2003/08/17 GTG 2004: 5th through 8th August, 2004. So there’s a page...
- 2003/08/04 We’re almost there now... everything is set and waiting for you!
- 2003/06/06 Wakeup was a bit tardy this year in Copenhagen, but now they’re all set and buzzing about. The official website has some first information on 2003.
- 2003/02/21 I used the chance of adding the 2003 section for a complete overhaul. It was really necessary, as the main body of the site was four years old and using frames. (Ugh! Shame on me!) Enjoy the new look and old quality!
- 2002/08/21 Pictures were uploaded! Ah, and by the way: The 2003 GTG will be from 7th to 10th August... See ya!
- 2002/08/12 GTG is over, minor updates apply, look out for more!
- 2002/07/29 Today was the application deadline. Y’all know what Douglas Adams said about deadlines: “I love deadlines. I love the wooshing sound they make as the pass by.” - Same with this one, obviously. The deadline has passed, but that does by no means that you cannot enter any longer! You can, and there’s also still space left. (The GTG is like a one-size-fits-all sock, it can be stretched to accomodate almost any number of participants.) So if you still want to be in for the unique chance of having me serve your dinner on saturday night, or see you round Christiansborg, apply! Or, if you dread the mere idea, keep a distance of 250 people between you and me...
- 2002/07/10: All necessary information and the enrolment form are now online at the official website.
- 2002/04/12: The official website has woken up! You can now find information at www.gtg.dk! The OC has confirmed the date and released initial information, and they have also put up a mailing list in case you want to receive more information in the future. Invitations have also been sent to all local committees.
- 2002/04/04: It is decided: After last year’s dropout, we will have a GTG again in 2002! Yeah! The IAESTE/AIESEC Copenhagen OC are busy preparing things, arranging events, transportation and stuff, and invitations will go out shortly. The date: 8th to 11th August. So let’s all give them a big hand!
- 2001/12/16: Information arrived that the GTG 2002 is being prepared. Can’t await to post more news!
- 2001/05/07: Just learned from MoK that there will be no GTG in 2001. Launched an experimental 2001 section sporting a “Save the GTG” plan.
- 2000/12/20: Completed the 2000 section, and added some really old 1999 images!
- 2000/08/15: Activated the 2000 section. So far it’s a small one, though.
- 2000/07/25: Added information concerning enrolment deadline: MoK has extended the deadline until 28th July, so if you’re still hesitating, hesitate no more.
- 2000/06/14: Almost all of the brand-new page design now actually works, including all picture links. OK, I had done this a bit hasty... The new views are still an empty sight, though.
- 2000/06/08: Brand-new page design goes online. I felt I had to polish up my site some. Beside a complete new layout I added a forum where you can post and discuss the GTG, and there are now also some new ways of looking at information. I hope you’ll enjoy the new look, and sign my guestbook for a change!
- 2000/05/10: A little bird (MoK... a little bird... oh well...) told me that the 1999 videos were available in medium and low quality on the www.gtg.dk website. I put up the links (not the files... they’re huge...) in the 1999 section.
- 2000/05/01: Beat MoK by a hair in announcing the dates of GTG 2000... (3rd through 6th August, 2000) - since he shot himself in the foot when setting up his website
- 2000/02/29: Fixed and polished my guestbook. So use it!
- 1999/12/16: Corrected the link to Karen’s page, since she’s moved to England
- 1999/09/28: Completed 1999 site; added my own pix
- 1999/08/16: Added a preliminary 1999 site - there’ll be more...
- 1999/06/08: Following requests from Morten, I ironed out some typos plus pointed out that the official site is now at www.gtg.dk
- 1999/05/31: Mentioned the new 1999 GTG from 5th to 8th August, 1999
- 1999/04/12: Opened the 1996 section, since there were no objections from Copenhagen. (In fact, there was no reaction at all, so sorry guys, that’s your own fault then!)
- 1999/03/02: Added the missing 1998 picture pages.
- 1999/03/01: Narrow-gauge version of the site goes online. Many 1998 picture pages are still missing, and the 1996 section remains closed pending approval of IAESTE Danmark. So, as usual, drop by freqeuently for more.
