An all-new, all-singing, all-dancing OC has gathered in Copenhagen and have managed to throw another successful GTG, or so our sources tell us. The reign of seemingly eternal OCP MoK has ended (well, no-one attends university forever, do they?), and Trine has stepped in his footprints. Together with some other new and some other old OC members she ran a somewhat smaller troupe (about 175 participants, or 234 on Saturday’s Official Dinner), luckily caught phantastic weather (a sunny 26° C), and thus everybody enjoyed themselves greatly.
Or so they say. But did they? here is an SMS I received at 1:38 in the morning on Sunday: “Hi Thomas! First of all I’m not a PG! I have just been awarded a lifelong membership of the OC!! :-) We are just partying after having served food for 234 people! A shame you are not here. It’s been a great GTG without serious problems of any kind. And the weather has been great too. Take care MoK” Which points to one of the sadder things: We were not there. Isn’t that impossible? We simply couldn’t manage, and, worse, we started feeling too old for it. So I have no idea if I’ll be there again in future years. An extensive GTG fan life comes to a grinding halt... sniff... Oh well, the GTG will survive, and so will we. And this site will rely on the information I catch. So, if you’ve been there, please send me some! Stories, Pix, I’ll gladly take it all. And Troels, you missed an opportunity for sampling a 10 years old Glengoyne!
